Tuesday's Tidbit by Cal

Hello 2nd graders! We had PE today. We played King Pin. We went to music and we named instruments! We named the flute, the xylophone, the violin, the cello, the harp, the trombone, the electric bass, the clarinet, the saxophone, the tuba, and the string bass. We had an extended fire drill. We learned where to go on the field to wait if there was a real fire. We chose our own spelling lists. We learned about ounces and pounds. We practiced name collection boxes.

It was a full day at school!
Sincerely, Cal

  1. Nice job with your tidbit Cal! Don't forget all of the other percussion instruments! There's the Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Tympani, Triangle, Castanets, Maracas, Temple Blocks, and a ton more!

Hmmmm.... I wonder how many pounds or ounces a TUBA would be?

  4. Mr. Deptula, I couldn't believe all of the instruments the kids remembered at the end of the day! They sure learned a lot in music class today- and I learned a few from them!

Ava, such a sweet note! You are a true bucket-filler!!

Isobel you know all of your facts that make a ten! Wahoo! You are going to zip through your next fact test!!

I wonder if anyone remembers how people had fun on the prairie long ago?
