This is all about today! By: Owen S.

We learned we are going to be studying Australia! We started making our suitcases and our passports to get ready for our big trip. In the library this afternoon, Mrs. Dufern showed us that we are going find out why people would want to live or visit the country of Australia! Then we checked out our new library books. In math we practiced counting by a certain number and looking for pattern. For example, the "2" pattern is 2, 4, 6, 8, 0. We learned the letter c! In writing, we practiced writing a letter as if we were Miss O'Sullivan! Today we wrote letters to ourselves from our parents. We practiced changing our perspective. We read a story during reading today called, "Goose's Story." It was about a poor goose who lost its leg. After reading the story, we talked about how important it is to be nice and kind to people who might be different than we are. We also talked about the cause and effect in the story. We had a practice earthquake drill today. We practiced how to be safe during an earthquake. We also visited the Scholastic Book Fair, and we wrote down books that we hoped to buy.

See you tomorrow!
:) Owen
