A Snowy Friday at School By: Owen S.

What a busy day at school! We took our Friday quizzes! We took DOL, Treasures, Grammar, and Spelling tests! I think I did pretty good. We went to the LMC to do more research for our Australia projects. We visited ozforkids.com and we wrote down 5 new facts about our territory. We did something fun! We practiced writing our cursive letters on our desks in shaving cream! It felt really weird! It was fun to practice that way and now I want to try that at home. We read a Time for Kids newspaper about the Olympics for younger people. They just took place in Austria at the end of January.

Lily was our star student this week. She did an experiment that we all got to do with her! We had two ice cubes. We pressed a fork or a spoon onto one if the ice cubes. We noticed that the ice cube we pressed on melted faster! The heat from our bodies transferred through the fork and melted the ice faster than the ice we left alone! Then Lily read us a great story called "Snow Day." It was about a big snow storm and you'll never guess who was the most excited about staying home from school. You'll have to read the story to see! Lily is a star because she is nice and funny friendly.

Have a great weekend!
Owen
