We had a great start to the 2021-2022 school year! The children and I enjoyed getting to know each other during our first two days of school. We heard about each other's summer vacations or special memories, learned each other's names, and played "That's Me!" We read a BUNCH of stories including: Caps for Sale, Be You, Letter from your Teacher on the 1st Day of School, Are Pirates Polite? The Teacher from the Black Lagoon, and Our Class is a Family. These stories helped the children to see that we are all unique and special, we need to be our own leaders, we will respect, encourage, and support each other this year, and we are in this together, like a real family! (The children have quickly learned that their teacher LOVES BOOKS!) The children enjoyed their first art, music, and PE classes of the school year. They especially enjoyed writing on the new whiteboard tables in the art room. Finally, we wrote our first letters in our "Friday Journals." Be sure to take a look at your child's letter, and feel free to write them back on the other side. Please send the Friday Journal back to school on Mondays.

I can already tell we are going to have a fantastic experience together!
