Researching, writing, illustrating, planning, creating...

It's amazing to see the learning that the children accomplish each day at school. The pictures that I take throughout the week remind me of all of the important work they are doing on a daily basis!
Below you will see photos of:
  1. Samples of our completed Martin Luther King Jr. biographies. The children did a tremendous job gathering and learning new facts, taking notes, drafting their ideas into sequential paragraphs, editing, and finally publishing their work. They included a series of pictures that highlight important moments in this great American leader's life.
  2. Studying erosion and playing a game reviewing key concepts in the LMC!
  3. Reviewing various landforms and sketching the important elements of each one in our science notebooks.
  4. Sketching and designing a landform model that we would be making out of clay.
  5. Students mixing salt, flour, water, and cream of tartar to make their own clay.
  6. Students creating their landform models, and then sharing them with the class.
  7. Celebrating our hardworking, clever, serious yet playful, amazing classmate Kate during her star student week!
Enjoy the pictures of our learning in action!
