Our week in 2-2 by: Alex
We were busy 2nd graders this week! We did a lot of social studies. We learned about landforms including: a peninsula, mountains, and lakes. We learned the 7 continents too! We sang them to the tune of Row, Row, Row, Your Boat! We went to the library for the first time this week too. We listened to a story on the story steps with Mrs. Jojo. We started practicing our math facts this week too! We started with the doubles and then we took our first "Mad Minute." We will get a sticker every time we beat our last score. We went to the computer lab and signed in to our Xtramath.org accounts so we can begin practicing our math facts at home! That's not all! We had a fire drill this week! We were very quiet and we followed the directions. Our class is awesome! We took our spelling test today and we got our lists for next week too so we can practice over the long Labor Day weekend if we want to!
Have a great weekend!

Our first week at school by: Katie
We had a really fun time during our first week of school! We took a tour of the school so we know where all of the teachers and classrooms are. We made a fun craft, too! We made an iPad about ourselves! We learned about classroom jobs. My job this week was the blogger. We practiced how to be safe at school. We learned about Code Red and Code Blue and what to do in case of a tornado. In social studies we started learning about different landforms. We started writing down what they are, and we drew a picture of them. We had a great first week! Looking forward to next week!
Have a good weekend!
